Whale watching tour with 7 Seas Whale Watching Tour. The weather was foggy (seems the fog just follows me), but we were able to sight a whale. Freckles is her name and she was beautiful to watch.
Fascinating town with an ‘interesting’ past
Brother-in-law did a race, Iceland Extreme Tri that gave an opportunity to take a side trip to Iceland. If you don’t have Iceland on your bucket list, it should be.
A less touristy part of Iceland with a very diverse landscape
Iceland is divided by the Mid-Atlantic Rift; some parts of it, such as the Westfjords and Reyjavík, are on the North American tectonic plate, while others, such as Vatnajökull glacier and the East Fjords, are on the Eurasian plate. Iceland is the only place in the world where this rift is above sea-level, and nowhere can you see the edges of both plates as clearly as in Þingvellir.
